- ---------------------------------------
-
- At this moment there is a temp fix in WEBspinner with the CUT/COPY/PASTE.
- This is saving to a buffer in RAM dues to some file reading problems that
- I just can't find. Sometimes an error message appears...I don't know why..
- but it still works. I'm still working on this problem.
-
- Email me at simon.coward@zetnet.co.uk
-
- or on 42 BBS in 42_SIMON.BETA or 42_TECHNICAL
-
- Netmail 90:100/312.0@nest.ftn
-
- PLEASE be as specific as possible...is the bug reproducable. What system are
- you running under..TOS..what version? MagiC/geneva?
- What machine are you running on....screen resolution.
-
- Have you tried it on a bare system...that is NO auto prgs and ACCS.
-
- What other prgs did you have running at the time...all these things help.
- Bug reports of...it crashes ...doesn't help, when, where, and how.
-
- If you get an error message...what does it say? It all helps find the bug
- in the 1000's of lines of code.
-
-
- please note...registered users suggestions for new features get priority as
- they have invested in the prg.
-
-
-
- VERSIONS
- ---------
-
- SPINR120.PRG.....680** version
- SPINT120.PRG.....Needs a TT or Falcon with FPU. It should also run on PAK
- ST's. This version is MUCH faster.
-
- PLEASE NOTE
- -----------
-
- This program is copyright and as part of a publishing company I am well able
- to deal with breach of copyright through our legal department.
-
- YOU HAVE BEEN WARNED!

- DISCLAIMER
- ----------
-
- I take no responsibility or any damage to you, your computer, data stored on it,
- your cat , dog, goldfish or anything else you think may have been damaged by
- this program. You use it at your own risk.
-
- Thanks
- ------
-
- First my thanks must go to Kevin Beardsworth for Beta testing to this point.
- He has put in a huge effort for which I am very thankfull.
- Also thanks to Kev for starting the manual
-
- When I get time I hope to make it look a bit prettier.
-
- BUGS
- ----
-
- A lot of time has been put into Beta testing WEBspinner, however it's possible
- that bugs have slipped through. If you find something please let me know and
- I will endevour to sort it out as soon as possible....bug fixes usually take
- about a week.
-
-
- System requirements
- -------------------
-
- WEBspinner runs best on a Falcon in 16 colours or more. However it will run
- on any Atari. If 16 colours are not availiable, then certain colour pickers
- will not be visable. On an ST please try ST LOW res...it's not great but it
- should work.
-
- If there is enough call for it i will try and produce an ST Medium Res version.
-
- SET UP......basic version here or load the MANUAL.HTM in CAB
- -------
- Even the simplest things need setting up.
-
- 1) Put the prg, the rsc file and inf file in a folder together.
- 2) Create a workfolder and inside that an image folder...
-
- eg
-
- A:\workfold\
- A:\workfold\images\
-
- Call them what you want but they are the folders that WEBspinner will save
- to and move graphics files to.
-
- 3) Start the prg....if you don't have a key press NO KEY and carry on. Don't try
- and register...mistakes can be fatal and will probably crash your system.
- YOU HAVE BEEN WARNED...it's called piracy and I don't like it.
-
- 4) When you arrive at the desktop, go to the MISC menu and select paths.
-
- Now use the file selector to select those folders you chose.
-
- Then it's time to play :-)
-
- NOTE
- ----
- If you have not registered, some features are disabled...basically you can't
- save and no backup is created...I'm sorry it has to be this way but I sent out
- fully working versions of Rotator and lost a lot of registrations through it.
-
- Thoughts on this area would be appreciated.
-
- As far as I know, images should still be moved to your workfolder.
-
- 5) WEBspinner supports drag and drop so can be started from CAB if it is the
- viewer.
- You can also drop files on it from the desktop.
-
- BE WARNED...it doesn't like WEB pages written on some non Atari machines...
- It'll all go on the top line :-(
-
- 6) Now select the various things you want in your page and see the code
- generated.
-
- NOTE
- ----
- A finishcursor is placed with the RIGHT mouse button.
-
-
- Mini Manual
- -----------
-
- A better manual is on the way in HTML format but for now this is all you get.
-

- you have already added by selecting the appropriate button.
-
- 6) Internal Links...Similar to anchors. Make a new link or select an already

-
- As well as those on the menus and toolbox.
-
- Cursor arrows do what cursor arrows do. Add Shift and they move further.
-
- Backspace/delete...usaul functions.
-
- TAB..adds a <P> into the document.
-
- Control + delete..deletes a line.
-
- Text can also be entered as in a text editor.
-
- I think that's about it...the full manual will be available ASAP.
-
-
-
-
-
- UPGRADES
- --------
-
- Very few new features will be added to this version of WEBspinner to give the
- manual writer time to catch up.
-
- However I will start adding them to a new version and Betas of that will
- be released as soon as this basic version has gone out for general
- distribution.
-
- A new version is now being prepared, completly re written in Assembler.
-
- REGISTATIONS
- ------------
-
- Yes the money bit.
-
- I have turned down a very nice PC project to finish WEBspinner...the PC
- project was a cash/hour, WEBspinner is a cash maybe. However, I like the
- Atari and wish to see it continue and so hope to write much more software
- for it.
-
- Registration of this version and all bug fixes of it is 10.
-
- Cheques should be payable to "Simon Coward" and sent to
-
- Simon Coward
- 58 Canada Way
- Lower Wick
- Worcester
- WR2 4XE
-
- Many thanks to those who have already registered.
-
-
- As any shareware author will tell you, it's not the money, but the encouragement
- that makes us go on...the money helps in a big way though. However due to the
- small size of the Atari community you need a lot of registrations to get any
- pay back on 1000 hours coding....it's a slow buisness :-(
-
- Cheques should made payable to SIMON COWARD.
-
- Thats about it.
-
- Hope you enjoy it.
-
- regards Simon Coward.
